Meet Chris Jones – A New Voice, Representing Neighbors

Originally from Pennsylvania, Chris currently lives in the Colonial Heights neighborhood in Sacramento and considers himself fortunate to be able to enjoy the beauty of our city. As the son of immigrants from Barbados, Chris understands that it takes hard work to get ahead, but that it is equally important to give back to the community. A lifelong volunteer and learner, he participated in the Boy Scouts and the Air Force JROTC as a young man and was the first in his family to go to college, earning both a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a Masters of Business Administration.

Today, Chris works in Information Technology as a Project Manager for the University of California. In his spare time, he serves as the President of Hope for Sacramento, an all-volunteer organization that is working to make important changes in the way we address the homeless crisis. Chris is also an active member of the NAACP, Colonial Heights Neighborhood Association, Save Sacramento Neighborhoods, and Eye on Sacramento.
